Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. The service
VinScan (vinscan.ge) lets you decode a vehicle identification number (VIN), view US salvage-auction records, and purchase third-party vehicle-history reports such as Carfax. By using the site you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts and guest use
You can use VinScan without an account; in that case your lookups and credits are tied to your browser. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide.
3. Credits and payments
Paid features are unlocked with credits purchased through our payment provider Flitt. Credits are personal, non-transferable, and have no cash value. One credit is consumed each time you unlock a report.
4. Refunds
Unused credits can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase. Credits already spent on a delivered report are non-refundable, since the report is delivered immediately and cannot be returned.
5. Data accuracy
Vehicle data comes from third-party sources, including public auction records and Carfax. We do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate, or up to date, and it is not professional advice. Always inspect a vehicle independently before buying.
6. Trademarks
Carfax, Copart, and IAAI are trademarks of their respective owners. VinScan is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the current version is always published on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Questions: info@vinscan.ge.
